October 6th to 9th 10am to 5pm Set amid the majestic Niagara Escarpment and Twenty Valley eco-system, enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music, artisan wares, and fun for the kids at the Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival.

Party like the undead

October 6th 7pm to 10pm St Catharines Museum & Welland Canal Centre are hosting an adults only Night of the Walking Dead party. Dress as a zombie, dance to live music and enjoy tasty food by the Smokin’ Buddha food truck. It’s going to be a thriller!

Hoot and holler for Harvest time

October 7th 5pm Enjoy rockin’ bands, delicious food and seasonal brews amongst the vines at Oast House Brewers’ 4th Annual Harvest Hootenanny.

Carve a pumpkin with the kids

October 14th 10am to 2pm  It’s Pumpkinville time at Happy Rolph’s Farm. This fun-filled family Fall festival will have pumpkin carving, scarecrow building, inflatable bouncers, hay dive, crafts, face painting and more. First 500 families get a free pumpkin!
October 21st 11am to 4pm There will be more Fall festival fun at PumpkinFest, Heartland Forest. Beautiful artisan wares, delicious food and drinks, plus pumpkin carving of course, and other fun activities for the whole family.

Take a hike

Choose one of the many breathtaking trails to hike in the Niagara Region. Walk the Niagara Glen Nature Trail, just to name one, breathe in the cool crisp air and see the beautiful Fall colours.

October 15th 6pm to 9:30pm Catch the Twilight Jazz Series at Mahtay Cafe in downtown St Catharines. Now putting together their 7th season, series’ founders Peter Shea and Juliet Dunn will perform followed by some funky tunes from LMT Connection.

October 17th 7pm to 9pm It’s yoga and beer time at Lock Street Brewing Co‘s Pints & Poses event. Find inner peace in their beautiful Biergarten amongst the ivy and hop plants and then enjoy a local brew.

Catch a Big Yellow Taxi to some soulful tunes

October 21st 8pm Vocalist Sarah Jerrom and guitarist Christine Bougie play the music of Canadian legend Joni Mitchell at Mahtay Cafe in downtown St Catharines.

Described as sumptuous, decorative, and visually overwhelming, the Material Girls exhibition at Rodman Hall runs until December 30th. This large-scale group exhibition is an exploration of material process and notions of excess as they relate to the feminized body, gendered space, and capitalist desire.
