I love eating outdoors during Summer. Making the most of the long days means hanging out with friends and family after work and feeling like it’s the weekend, even when it is merely a “hump” in the middle of the work week. Supper Market, held every Wednesday during Summer at The Market at the Village in Niagara-on-the-Lake, is the perfect opportunity to do just this.
Fill your belly with the Niagara region’s favorite food vendors and food trucks, along with local wine, cider, and beer.
We loved sampling the super sticky and flavourful ribs by Redline BBQ and wood-fired pizzas by Avella’s Wood Fired Oven. But, it was a hard choice so we will have to make multiple visits.
There were also colossal schnitzel sandwiches by Schnitzels & Strudels, Curries by Moksha Indian Bistro, The Smokin’ Buddha, Yellow Pear, piled-high pulled pork sandwiches by Pig Out Catering, and scrumptious-looking seafood by Tide & Vine Oyster Co – just to name a few.
There is also a good selection of eats for gluten-free friends and vegetarians.
Tasty local brews were served by Silversmith brewing company and there were a range wineries from NOTL.
Grab a picnic table and enjoy free live entertainment, while the kids jump on the bounce house or take a pony ride.
Take advantage of this easy weekday event where everyone in the family leaves happy. It will break-up your work week and there will be no dishes to do when you get home. Bonus!
There is also a Supper Market at Port Dalhousie on Tuesdays and Pelham on Thursdays during summer. I can’t wait to try them!
